Children’s Choirs

Trinity Lutheran offers a wonderful opportunity for Children in Grades K-5 to participate in a weekly choir ensemble singing in worship once each month and several other special occasions. These groups rehearse Wednesdays 4:00-5:00 PM with students able to take the bus from Orono Public Schools to the church. The singers share snacks, then gather in rehearsal to explore their voices, make music, meet new friends, and share the gift of praise. Joyful Noise is comprised of K-2nd Grade singers, and Youth Choir is 3rd-5th Grade. Registration links can be found on the website or through Trinity Kids registration.

Trinity Bells

Our Adult Hand Bell Choir is created for ringers available to rehearse daytime and have little or no music training. Hand Bell ringing is a wonderful way to stretch your brain and reignite those connections, which often slow down over time. The learning progresses slowly with performance based on when everyone is comfortable and prepared. No musical training or hand bell ringing experience is required. We are looking for eager, adventurous people ready for a new challenge and relationships. Please contact Mark Hemingway if you are interested to finding out more.

Chancel Bells

This Hand Bell Choir has been ringing at Trinity for more than 40 years. They are a 5-Octave ensemble that works on Medium to Advanced literature. Several of our ringers participate in other Hand Bell ensembles around the metro area. We often have openings for new ringers who have music reading skills or past ringing experience. They ring in worship one Sunday each month and rehearse on Monday evenings at 7:00 PM.

Trinity Choir

Trinity Choir is the Adult Vocal Choir which sings for Sunday morning worship. This group loves to explore all kinds of music and has fun doing it. We rehearse on Wednesday evenings 7:00-8:00 PM. New Singers, Young Sings, Old Singers, Retired Singers, Empty-Nesting Singers, Snowbird singers, Confirmation Parent Singers are all welcome. We never take attendance and no experience is needed; just an eagerness to join the group and share your voice, as we gather to make music, love our neighbor, and honor and worship God.

Contemporary Worship -Wednesday Worship

Trinity added a new worship experience with 6:00 Wednesday Worship. This service is a shorter, more contemporary worship style led by Ben Richter who has done our Confirmation Music for several years. Ben is hoping to add 3-4 instrumentalists and vocals to the group to assist in leading worship. Please talk to Mark Hemingway if you are interested in add vocals, guitar, keyboard, or percussion talents to the band. Eventually this group will also bring some of the same music to the Sunday morning worship on occasion in collaboration with the Children’s Choirs, and Trinity Choir.
