Please join the Trinity Vision Committee to gather congregational feedback and help write our next chapter. Trinity has evolved in recent years, and we have not taken a deep look at what it means to be “Trinity” or consider what our church might become since before the pandemic. We need all of you to participate in this process to dream of what Trinity can become, and to do so, we need to remember who we are and what we believe.
At our history gathering event (Oct 12, 2025) we asked you all to think through some of the memorable moments at Trinity, and your personal faith lives, and add them to our timeline. The stories and memories you each shared are helping us to learn “who we are” – what has God done in our lives and how has God used Trinity as a church building and church body to be a part of these moments.
During Advent 2025, we invited you to share the scriptures that have shaped your faith. These responses are helping us discern “what we believe” and how God’s Word continues to form us as a community.
At our third gathering, we will reflect on “why are we here” through the experiences, relationships, and practices at Trinity that bring meaning, joy, and spiritual nourishment. Through shared stories and an experiential activity, we will listen for what gives life to our congregation and where God may be inviting us to focus as we move into the future together.
Together, these stories, scriptures, and shared experiences are guiding us as we listen for where God is leading Trinity next.
Trinity means something to each of us. Its legacy has endured highs and lows, adapting to the needs of members, the community and world. We want to continue that tradition through a structured vision process to gather congregational feedback and help write our next chapter. Trinity is in a great position to address this feedback through our established leadership and strength of community. We invite you to participate in a vision process to evolve Trinity to our congregation and community needs.
We hope you’ll plan to make the gatherings a priority because we need your voice and story.

We invite each of you to reflect on a verse that has been meaningful or significant in your life. Write the book, chapter, and verse(s) on the cards provided, and share why it matters to you. These cards will be available in the Narthex each Sunday.
You’ll also find a table staffed by committee members who can help you recall your verse—we’ll have Bibles and electronic resources, like BibleGateway.com, ready to assist.
Maybe it was your confirmation verse. Maybe it came from a meaningful card or began with “Love your neighbor,” “Fear not,” or “This is the day…” Maybe it’s a verse about light and darkness. Whatever it is, we’re here to help you find it—and we hope you’ll share it with us.

The vision process has several steps, each of which are designed to gather feedback from the congregation to help answer 3 key questions:
All of this feedback allows our congregation to better understand what Trinity means to us and enables us to adapt Trinity to our current and future needs. This is not intended to reshape the foundations of the church but to align a vision to center ourselves going forward. Our collective feedback will then be used to evaluate our existing vision, strategy and plans and evolve those where needed.
Gathering sessions are setup to do what we do best – food and fellowship – but also adding in feedback. While other sessions may be designed as a congregational exercise. Expect the sessions to be interactive in different ways. No preparation is needed, but we encourage you to think about and share your church story, what Trinity means to you, challenges in our church and community that have impacted us and what makes Trinity special. This is not a survey exercise, although survey feedback is welcomed for members who cannot attend or have other feedback to provide.
There are similarities and differences to previous campaigns. We have a rich history at Trinity, but it is up to us to recognize who we are today, so we can adapt accordingly. These exercises are important to conduct periodically to understand our changing needs.
A group of members has been meeting to discuss leading our congregation through a visioning process to continue aligning God’s calling for us with our ministry and mission. With the leadership of our Council, six members agreed to be part of this Vision Team – Steve Currie and Dave Miller, serving as co-chairs, along with Addy Hallen, Kassy Heinrich-Wydra, Cami Dahlstrom, and Bob Eastman.
The goal is to listen intently to our congregation to build new guiding statements that will lead us into God’s intended future for us. They’ll do this through congregational gatherings centered around Trinity’s history, meaningful scriptural exploration, and why people feel led to be a part of this worshiping community. In the end, they hope to have enough insight to craft the guiding statements that will frame what we do together in God’s name.
