…speaking the truth in love, we must grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ, from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by every ligament with which it is equipped, as each part is working properly, promotes the body’s growth in building itself up in love.

Ephesians 4:15-16

trinity annual stewardship campaign 2026

A central part of the identity of our congregation has always been the way Trinity brings people together. That’s why we’ve spent so much energy in the last couple years lifting up the belief that we are gathered and called to be one in the body of Christ.

Dietrich Bonhoeffer once wrote that we are “bound up in networks of relations with others,” in reference to the idea that we cannot know ourselves apart from our relationship with and responsibility toward one another. In other words, as Paul writes to the Ephesians, we are “joined and knit together” as one whole body.

It’s time to embrace this spirit and identity with new vigor. We need each of us to embrace the unique and indispensable role we have within the larger body, and do our part in continuing to build up this community in love. Our congregation and our larger community need us to respond to the infinite measure of Christ’s grace with abundance.

God in Christ Jesus has always led the way to bringing us together. We are gathered into one to do what we’ve been called to do, equipped with everything we need for everything that awaits us. At Trinity, we are One Body, Knit Together.
