I [Paul], therefore, the prisoner in the Lord, beg you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which you have been called, with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love, making every effort to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace: there is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to the one hope of your calling, one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is above all and through all and in all.

trinity capital campaign 2024-27

For 91 years and counting, Trinity Lutheran Church has been a community of disciples committed to walking by faith in a manner worthy our calling, believing in the power of what God can do. Though we love our church and our building, the rich history of Trinity has always been more inclined toward what cannot be physically seen, that is, our relationships with God and with one another. Through all his letters, the apostle Paul implored centuries of believers to pursue unity in the power of the Holy Spirit who was sent to bring us together as one through a lived faith in Christ.

From the very beginning, God has always intended to gather us into one. And now, at this moment in our life together at Trinity, in unity with one another, we get to renew our faithfulness to watching for what God is doing in our midst – all of us, together as one. It’s the story of who we are and who we are becoming. Gathered Into One encompasses a lifetime of what it means to be not only a person of Trinity, but a people of God.

So, we remain committed to our mission as a congregation, to welcome all to worship joyfully, grow in faith, and serve near and far, in Jesus’ name. We are rooted to our past while being sent forward, as God’s Spirit leads us toward what we are becoming, all while gathering us into one with each other, with the world, and with God in Christ Jesus.

After you have had time to pray and reflect, please return your card on, or before our Commitment Sunday, March 17.
